This is a Pratt Whitney Canada’s turboprop gas turbine engine ground test cell, equipment to check the performance of the engine equipped with a propeller.
It consists of an engine fixing stand, a fuel supply device, scavenging oil cooling devices, an intercom equipment, equipment integration controls, an engine monitoring equipment, test data collection devices, orifice doors considering the air flow, automatic resealable exhaust silencer, an noise protection of buildings and control rooms to accommodate engine handling hoist. For localizing of research and development projects, we carry out the whole project from basic design to engine test.
It is currently operating in two bases of Korea Air Force and has proven its performance. In particular, during research and development processes we acquired three domestic patents of a stand in engine thrust, a power control device etc..
